My passion for toy cameras began when digital photography came into being the norm. My excitement when picking up a newly developed roll of film and investigating the uncontrollable results of an image captured with a toy camera is unmatched to anything a digital medium could attempt to replicate. The light leaks, color shifts, vignetting, and happy accidents all fuel my passion for using toy cameras. Each exposure is a unique perspective sometimes impossible to replicate. Last summer I went out West to many of our country's national parks and chose to bring my Holga with me. The images I took were experiments in capturing the rich and unique colors, shapes, and textures found in the landscapes of the west. Always approaching a potential shot with a sense of humor I also looked to capture images of the landscape out that had unexpected and sometimes other worldly elements.
